I intended to be a front-end developer after graduating from the University of Melbourne with a degree in Information Systems 2020. Before I found a full-time job, I got an internship opportunity as a UI designer at a local start-up company. During the internship, I found that I had a natural love for UX/UI design and this is a job that combines what I learned in college and what I loved from childhood.
Fascinated by the intersection between design and system analysis, I decided to be a full-time designer during the internship. Thanks to so many great online learning resources and communications with my friends in the industry, I got my first full-time job after the internship and started my adventure as a UX/UI designer.
My knowledge of HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript ES6 enables me to understand the limitations and implications between design and code, which helps me communicate with the engineers well. I plan to spend more time learning and practising coding in the future to be a more full-stack designer.
3D illustration and motion design are also big fascinated fields I would like to pursue in my future career.
One last thing I want to explore is how can an IT team improve working efficiency. I believe different teams can have different working flows leading to different results. This is an interesting and valuable question I'd like to explore with my future career and co-workers.
